The Library

The marble floors of the passing of elderly,
mentally ill, homeless
mixed in with more of the
lovely general public
A stench is in the air
a baby cries for it to stop
waiting for the internet
it's an hour for your
spot
Open books to settle the mind
the library is "still quiet"
where the waterbubbler
sounds are as loud as a
passing train
breaks the babies cry
what to do with all this knowledge
as time passes me by....

We still rise, we will not apologize for anything!
